First-hand insights on financial security and citizen protection
Raising awareness about financial pyramid schemes at the "AFM Online 2026" forum
Financial pyramid schemes are increasingly disguising themselves as modern online projects, investment platforms and "quick money-making opportunities".
At the "AFM Online 2026" forum, we shared our experience and discussed the most common tactics used by fraudsters to draw people into questionable schemes — from promises of easy income and guaranteed returns to referral bonuses and transfers to bank cards belonging to private individuals.
We thank the Agency for Financial Monitoring for organising a platform for open discussion on financial security, fraud prevention and the protection of citizens.

Yuriy Lee on Qasqir_kz | About fraudsters
Thus emerges the role of a money mule —
Someone asked to share their personal data.
If you carelessly hand over all your information,
You may end up becoming a criminal yourself.
Today, some bloggers resort to deception,
Selling their products through fake giveaways.
When the promised prizes never reach the winners,
The organizer earns the label of an infogypsy.
If my words truly reach the people,
Together we can stop fraud before it spreads.
The safety of our money and our future
Always begins with ourselves.
Yuriy Lee on Qasqir_kz | About financial pyramid schemes
People are increasingly seeing deception,
Yet many still fall into scammers’ traps.
A pyramid scheme appears in society,
And many become victims of manipulators.
At first, it seems to promise huge profits,
Then it asks people to invest their money.
But when no one is left to continue the chain,
Their pockets are left completely empty.
“You’ll become rich, don’t worry,” they say,
Promising profit meant only for you.
But in the end, there is no money to withdraw —
Only the person who started it becomes rich.
