Your checklist before paying for overseas employment services:
✅ Read every word of the contract carefully.
❌ If the agreement refers to "consulting services" instead of actual employment placement, do not sign.
✅ Check the company for lawsuits and outstanding debts using official sources.
❌ If the company has legal disputes with clients or unpaid debts subject to enforcement proceedings, stay away.
Thousands of people are lured by advertisements promising "work abroad." Instead, they end up trapped by criminal networks: some are forced to work in scam call centers, some are sold as labor, and in extreme cases people face the risk of organ trafficking.
In Myanmar and Thailand, dozens of compounds are reportedly holding between 150,000 and 200,000 people against their will.
