Fake fund recovery from scammers | "Recovery through the Economic Investigations Department / Financial Monitoring Agency"

After becoming a victim of a phone scam and taking out several loans in her own name, the victim received another call from fraudsters — this time posing as representatives of the Economic Investigations Department.

They claimed that the stolen money had been recovered and the perpetrators had been punished, but said that a "state fee" had to be paid before the funds could be returned.
