News | Forced labor in scam centers

The United Kingdom has imposed sanctions on the largest scam center in Cambodia, the associated online crypto platform Xinbi, as well as a number of companies and individuals.

The sanctions target a network of scam compounds where people are recruited under false pretenses, held against their will, and forced to participate in online fraud.

The financial infrastructure used to move and launder illicit funds has also been sanctioned.
