News | Introduction of additional verification during login to banks in Kazakhstan

ARDFM intends to require Kazakhstan’s banks to introduce additional verification during user login. The proposed amendments have already been published on the Open NPAs platform and are open for public comments until 30 April.

One of the key proposed changes is the automatic blocking of a banking application when the device’s microphone is active. Banks will also be required to closely monitor system failures and suspicious events, using analytical systems where available.

These measures are aimed at strengthening the security of banking applications and protecting users’ personal data and funds.
