STOP MFI | Commission shops disguised as pawnshops deceived people

According to the Financial Monitoring Agency of Kazakhstan, commission stores and pawnshops operating under the "Aktiv Market" brand worked together: they shared the same premises and staff and allegedly issued collateral-backed loans without a licence.

Customers were reportedly charged excessive interest rates, and after redeeming their property, they could be asked to sign statements confirming that they had no claims against the company.
