Thousands of people visit job websites and mobile apps every day looking for work. Advertisements promising high salaries, flexible schedules and no requirements for education or experience can be very appealing. However, such "attractive" offers are often used to recruit people into fraudulent schemes.

Because job advertisements can be posted easily and moderation is not always effective, scammers publish vacancies for money mules on popular platforms. These offers are disguised as ordinary jobs, such as courier positions or remote work opportunities. Similar proposals may also be sent directly through social networks, messaging apps or email. Communication is usually conducted through anonymous chats or disposable phone numbers, while job responsibilities are described vaguely and without clear details.

‼️ Extremely favorable conditions, flexible hours, minimal effort and unusually high earnings can all be warning signs of a fraudulent vacancy. Common indicators of money mule recruitment include:

• No education or work experience required;
• Fully remote work with no office presence or formal employment process;
• Unofficial employment arrangements;
• Requests to open multiple bank cards in your own name;
• Instructions to withdraw cash and transfer money to designated accounts;
• Promises of earnings based on a percentage of transferred funds;
• Tasks involving the purchase or transfer of cryptocurrency.
