The head of a structural unit of the “The Finiko” financial pyramid, who had been internationally wanted since 2022, was returned from Türkiye to Kazakhstan. According to the investigation materials, the project did not conduct genuine investment activity, while payments to existing participants were made using funds from new investors. The case involves more than KZT 160 million in attracted funds. Investigators also identified and confiscated a land plot valued at approximately KZT 221 million. The case is another reminder that promises of high returns and aggressive promotion are no substitute for verifying a company and the actual source of its payouts.
