Phishing | "Get a Gift from Santa Claus"

Under the guise of a New Year giveaway, scammers attempt to obtain your personal information, including your bank card details.

As the New Year approaches, an old scam known as "Get a Gift from Santa Claus" is once again spreading through messaging apps. Users are invited to complete a simple survey, share a link and are promised a cash prize.

In reality, there is no prize. When a person tries to claim the supposed "gift", they are asked to pay a fee, commission or delivery charge and then provide their bank card details. This is how scammers gain access to victims' money.
