Investment scams | Scammers disguised as People’s IPO and international brands
It is no longer a secret that advertisements from scammers can be found on Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube, and at first glance they can be difficult to distinguish from ads placed by legitimate companies.
To promote their schemes, scammers use images and public appearances of well-known figures, claim they are ready to sign written investment service agreements, distribute fake licences of investment companies, and refer in their documents to Kazakhstani companies such as “KazMunayGas” and “Halyk Finance”, as well as the “People’s IPO” programme.
