THREE MAJOR FORCES HAVE UNITED AGAINST CYBERCRIME IN KAZAKHSTAN

THREE MAJOR FORCES HAVE UNITED AGAINST CYBERCRIME IN KAZAKHSTAN

The Stop-Piramida.kz project, the Cybercrime Combating Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and the international blockchain analytics company AMLBot have signed a trilateral cooperation memorandum.

The memorandum brings together the efforts of government authorities, international blockchain analytics experts, and the public sector to strengthen the fight against financial crimes involving digital assets.

The primary goal of the partnership is to shorten the time between a victim’s report, blockchain analysis of digital asset transactions, and the implementation of procedural measures. This will improve the speed of response to cryptocurrency-related crimes and increase the chances of freezing illegally obtained assets in a timely manner.

Under the memorandum, AMLBot will provide blockchain analysis, cryptocurrency transaction tracing, wallet attribution, risk assessment, and cooperation with Virtual Asset Service Providers (VASPs) and cryptocurrency exchanges to facilitate the freezing of digital assets. The company will also prepare analytical reports for criminal investigations and provide expertise on modern cryptocurrency-based money laundering schemes.

Stop-Piramida.kz will collect and systematize information received from victims, conduct OSINT analysis of fraudulent project infrastructures, cooperate with victim communities, and implement educational initiatives aimed at preventing financial fraud.

The Cybercrime Combating Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan will provide procedural support for investigations, submit official requests to financial institutions, cryptocurrency platforms, and foreign jurisdictions, and use analytical materials prepared by its partners during criminal investigations.

The signing of the memorandum marks an important step in strengthening cooperation between government authorities, international technology companies, and civil society organizations. By combining their expertise, the parties aim to improve the detection and investigation of crimes involving digital assets while enhancing public protection against modern financial fraud schemes.

The partnership will also focus on developing rapid information-sharing mechanisms, integrating advanced blockchain analytics into investigative practices, and strengthening financial security in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
